What are the requirements for using Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) with my BMW electric vehicle?

To use Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) home backup power in the U.S., you need a compatible BMW electric vehicle, the BMW Wallbox Professional, the BMW Home Backup System Professional, a valid BMW ID, and the My BMW App. The BMW Home Backup System Professional requires additional components, including the BMW Power Module Professional and BMW Gateway Module Professional.

 

The system must be installed by a certified electrician in accordance with applicable electrical codes, permitting, inspection, and utility requirements. A stable Internet connection is recommended for connected features, software updates, and app controls
