To change the Internet connection for your BMW Wallbox Professional – for example, following a change of router or switching Internet service providers – the network settings must be reconfigured. This is done via the separate DC Wallbox Installation app.
To do this, open the DC Wallbox Installation app or, if necessary, download it from the App Store. Then pair your smartphone with the Wallbox using Bluetooth. The pairing is performed using QR code on the "Installation & First Steps" sheet supplied with the Wallbox or on the enclosed Charging Setup Card. You can then update and save the Wi-Fi or LAN settings. Once the setup has been completed, the BMW Wallbox Professional will be reconnected to your home network.
If you are using a Wi-Fi connection, you can use a Wi-Fi repeater or a powerline adapter (LAN via electrical wiring) to improve signal quality if necessary.
