What is the BMW Wallbox Professional and what features does it offer?

The BMW Wallbox Professional is a permanently installed, bidirectional DC home charging station. It enables bidirectional charging of compatible BMW electric vehicles and provides access to the Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) feature and, in the future, the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) feature. When these features are used, your BMW electric vehicle becomes a mobile energy storage device that can not only absorb electricity but also feed it back into your home or grid.
 
The My BMW App allows you to control charging processes, Wallbox settings, and other smart features conveniently.
 
The BMW Wallbox Professional supports a charging and discharging power of up to 19.2 kW. 

 

Please note:  Plug-in hybrid vehicles cannot be charged using the BMW Wallbox Professional, as they do not have a DC charging socket.
