What safety does the rollover protection provide in my BMW Convertible?

The rollover protection system is automatically activated in the event of a sufficiently serious accident or if the longitudinal axis is tilted excessively. The safety bars located behind the rear head restraints extend within fractions of a second. Supplementing the reinforced windshield frame, the rollover protection system further increases passenger safety.
