Automatic Park Assistant Professional uses sensors on the side of your BMW to find open parallel, diagonal, and perpendicular parking spaces. When an open space is recognized and selected, your BMW automatically executes all parking maneuvers, including gear changes, acceleration, braking, and steering. If the system sees multiple open spaces at the same time, the driver may need to select one. This system can also have your vehicle automatically assist in preparation for pulling out of those same spaces! With the upgrade to surround view cameras, the Professional system offers improved parking performance. This includes the ability to rely solely on parking lines rather than adjacent vehicles.
Note: Versions of this feature on older BMW models only assist with steering.
