How do I turn drive-off monitoring on/off in my vehicle with BMW Operating System 8.5 or BMW Operating System 9?

In case of a risk of collision, the start-up monitoring reduces the drive power when driving off. When obstacles are detected in close range in front of the vehicle, the acceleration will be reduced. If necessary, this permits timely manual braking. When obstacles are detected behind the vehicle, the system will brake.

Perform the following on the iDrive screen to turn drive-off monitoring on/off:     1. Apps menu
    2. "Vehicle"
    3. "Driving settings"
    4. "Driver Assistance"
    5. "Parking"
    6. "Drive off monitoring"
    7. "Drive off monitoring"

A Check Control message is displayed where applicable.

 

Please Note: The system is automatically turned on again at the next drive.
