How do I deactivate the Lane Departure Warning in my BMW with Operating System 8.5?

Lane Departure Warning warns you if your vehicle is about to leave the road or lane by means of a vibration in the steering wheel and by displaying warnings in the instrument cluster.

 

Perform the following in the iDrive menu to manually deactivate/turn off the Lane Departure Warning:

  1. Apps menu
  2. "Vehicle"
  3. "Driving settings"
  4. "Driver Assistance"
  5. "Safety and warnings"
  6. "Lane Departure Warning"
  7. "Off"

 

Please note: The system is automatically active each time a trip starts.
