With the Cruise Control in your BMW, you can select a desired driving speed, which your BMW stores and automatically adheres to, as long as you do not intervene correctively.
To save the driving speed in your BMW with BMW Operating System 8, press the "SET" button on the steering wheel. You can set speed with the "-/+" button.
To save or change a driving speed in your BMW with BMW Operating System 7, press the rocker switch on the steering wheel up or down repeatedly until the desired speed is set. Each tap of the rocker is switch up to the resistance point increases or decreases the driving speed by 1 mph. Each time the rocker switch is pressed beyond the resistance point, the driving speed changes by a max of 5 mph display in the speedometer.
If, while driving, you set a driving speed that is lower than the speed currently being driven, the vehicle will coast to the set driving speed. You can override Cruise Control at any time by accelerating or braking. If you brake, you must activate the Cruise Control again. Pressing the "RESUME"/"RES" key on the steering wheel resumes the last saved speed.
Please Note: Models with Active Cruise Control will automatically reduce speed to maintain a selected distance from a vehicle in front.
