Cross Traffic Warning Rear with Brake Intervention gives you peace of mind when backing out of perpendicular or angled parking spaces where visibility may be limited. Radar sensors in the rear bumper scan for vehicles or cyclists approaching from the left or right. A flashing red display indicates the presence of cross traffic. If you fail to act (i.e., brake), a warning sounds and the Active Blind Spot Detection LED warning lights in the side mirrors activate. If you fail to react to the warnings, emergency braking will automatically engage to help avoid cross traffic.
Cross Traffic Warning Front with Brake Intervention warns you when crossing traffic is detected if leaving a perpendicular parking space by driving forward. The system also functions when driving towards crossing traffic on a street where your left-to-right visibility is obscured. If a potential collision is detected, the system first displays a visual alert, followed by an acoustic warning. If you don’t react, the system can perform emergency braking.
