With BMW Symbiotic Drive, Neue Klasse models reach a new level of cooperative driving. The BMW iX3 is the first model to offer cooperative braking in addition to cooperative steering and a cooperative accelerator. Cooperative braking allows you to reduce speed in specific situations while a set speed is active, without deactivating the driver assistance systems. You brake lightly, the system gently reduces the speed, and then automatically accelerates again to the previously selected speed. Braking therefore blends seamlessly into the symbiotic interplay between driver and vehicle. You remain involved and in control while the system cooperates with you in a flexible and intelligent manner.
