How do I activate or deactivate Active Blind Spot Detection in my BMW with Operating System 8 or Operating System 9?

Active Blind Spot Detection detects vehicles in the blind spot or vehicles approaching from behind in the adjacent lane. The warning light in the exterior mirror gives warnings at different levels. Turning Active Blind Spot Detection on/off:

  1. Apps menu
  2. "Vehicle apps"
  3. "Driving settings"
  4. "Driver Assistance"
  5. "Safety and warnings"
  6. "Active Blind Spot Detection"
  7. Select the desired setting.
