How do I activate an assisted lane change with the Highway & Commuting Assistant?

To complete an assisted lane change, Steering Assistant must be active, and the vehicle must be traveling on an approved road above 40mph. Lane Change Assistant can be activated by pressing the turn indicator, the driver’s hands must remain on the steering wheel. The system may also recommend lane changes when required for route guidance or when traffic in a neighboring lane is moving more efficiently. Suggested lane changes can be confirmed with a glance at the exterior mirror, providing a more seamless assisted-driving experience.
