Does BMW sell any personal customer information?

BMW NA does not sell its customers’ personal information, such as their names, addresses, driving habits, Vehicle Identification Numbers, or other information that is tied to the customers or their vehicles. 

 

However, as with all other online businesses, BMW NA uses information collected through its websites for online behavioral advertising, which may be deemed to be a sale of personal information under applicable privacy laws. This website information and related advertising is separate from the telematics information collected from connected vehicles, which is not used for online behavioral advertising.
