You can lock the 2027 BMW iX3 without touching it. To do this, close all doors and the tailgate and move more than 3 m away from the side and rear of the vehicle with an authorized digital key. Alternatively, touch the marked area on the extendible door handle of a door for approx. 1 second without reaching into the door handle. After locking, the door handles retract automatically. An integrated hand detection system prevents retraction on contact to avoid jamming. You can also lock the BMW iX3 with the Service Card for the BMW Digital Key Plus or with the My BMW App. An electric ice-breaking function ensures functionality even in extremely cold conditions. Please note: To lock the vehicle, the corresponding door handle must be extended. When the door handle is retracted, touch the marked area on the door handle for approx. 1 second. You can activate or deactivate contactless locking of the BMW iX3 in the BMW iDrive: My vehicle menu > "Doors" > "Locking" > "Lock when moving away".
