How do I open the storage compartment under the front flap of the 2027 BMW iX3?

The BMW iX3 has a storage compartment under the front flap with a capacity of 2 cubic feet. The lever for unlocking and opening the hood is located in the driver's footwell on the left-hand side. To unlock, pull the lever and release it again.
