What are the advantages of bidirectional charging of the 2027 BMW iX3?

With bidirectional charging, the high-voltage battery of a Battery Electric Vehicle is used as an intermediate storage device for electrical energy. With "Vehicle-to-Home (V2H)", electricity is fed from the vehicle into the household for emergency power. With "Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V)", the vehicle feeds energy to another electric vehicle to provide a jump start or a boost charge to get to the next charging station. With "Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)", you can charge external electrical devices (e.g., e-bikes) directly from your vehicle using an adapter with your standard equipped multi-function charger.
