How is the steering wheel of the BMW iX3 designed?

The standard steering wheel with Shy Tech operating elements was developed specifically for use with BMW Panoramic Vision and combines modern design with high ergonomics. Free-floating Shy Tech operating elements on the left-hand side of the steering wheel with haptic feedback enable intuitive control. The exposed steering wheel rim is made of high-quality artificial leather with a pleasant soft feel. The left-hand side of the steering wheel is focused on driver assistance systems, while the right-hand side controls media and communication, with direct visualization via BMW Panoramic Vision. The M Sport steering wheel (with M Sport package) and the M steering wheel (with M Sport package and M Sport package Pro), each with Shy Tech operating elements, are available as an option. They offer a sportier styling, particularly grippy surfaces and an even more dynamic alignment feel.  A BMW Individual steering wheel will also be available as part of the Digital White Trim.
