How do I prepare the high-voltage battery of the 2027 BMW iX3 for an upcoming charging stop at a DC charging station?

The charging power of the high-voltage battery of the 2027 BMW iX3 depends, among other things, on its temperature. An optimum battery temperature increases the charging power during DC charging and thus shortens the charging time. You can see the current DC charging readiness in the vehicle status on the central display, among other things. By entering a DC charging station as the navigation destination, the high-voltage battery is automatically optimized for the charging stop. Alternatively, you can activate the function in BMW Panoramic iDrive: My vehicle menu > "Charging" > "Prepare battery for DC charging" > "Activate once". The "prepare battery" function is also available in the My BMW App.
