What new display and operating elements does BMW Panoramic iDrive with BMW Operating System X offer in the 2027 BMW iX3?

The new BMW Operating System X in the 2027 BMW iX3 contains four central display and operating elements. BMW Panoramic Vision projects all relevant information on driving and infotainment onto the entire width of the lower windshield for all occupants to see. On the central display in Free-Cut Design with touch operation, which is inclined towards the driver, functions are selected using QuickSelect widgets through horizontal or vertical swipe movements. With a swipe movement, selected widgets and apps can be transferred from the central display to BMW Panoramic Vision. Use the Shy Tech operating elements on the left-hand side of the multifunction steering wheel to control driver assistance systems: On the right-hand side, the entertainment and communication functions. The optional BMW 3D Head-Up Display with enlarged projection surface integrates the displays for navigation and automated driving for the first time with perspectives adapted to the situation.
