How do I activate camera cleaning in my BMW iX with BMW Operating System 8 or BMW Operating System 8.5?

Cleaning technology is installed in the front cameras and the rearview camera.  

 

BMW Operating System 8.5

To activate the camera cleaning in your BMW iX, select the following in the iDrive operating system:

  • Apps menu
  • "Vehicle"
  • "Parking"
  • "More"
  • "Camera cleaning" and activate the corresponding camera.

Alternatively, you can go to the "Parking" menu using the parking assistant button (camera pictured with "P") in the center console. When cleaning the rearview camera, the emblem moves out and sprays the camera lens.
