What are the advantages of ambient lighting in my 2022 BMW iX and 2026 BMW iX?

Ambient lighting in your 2022 BMW iX and 2026 BMW iX creates a relaxing, cozy lighting atmosphere in the interior, especially in the dark. However, the LED light strips in the doors are already visible during the day and show you different states of the vehicle. For example, a green light indicates that the doors are unlocked. And a red light warns you of possible dangers when getting out. The LEDs also give a light signal when charging has started or when a telephone call is received while driving. Colors, scopes and brightness of the ambient light can be individually selected in the settings. Finally, the Welcome Light Carpet function projects an ambient light graphic in front of the vehicle doors and creates an atmospheric mood when entering and exiting.
