Which keys are delivered with the 2026 BMW iX?

When you take delivery of your 2026 BMW iX, you will receive a physical vehicle key, a Setup Card for comfortable and secure setup of the BMW Digital Key and a Service Card. The Service Card remains deactivated in the vehicle and can be used, for example, for service appointments, valet parking or in the event of a breakdown.

 

Please Note:

  • For security reasons, you should keep the Setup Card in a safe place outside your vehicle after setting up a BMW Digital Key. 
  • The Service card is deactivated when the vehicle is delivered and, for security reasons, it should only be activated when required and then deactivated again. Keeping a deactivated Service Card in the vehicle is safe. For security reasons, you should keep an activated Service Card in a safe place outside your vehicle. 
  • Both cards use the "near field communication" (NFC) mobile standard for wireless data transfer with your BMW or your smartphone.
