How does the software of my 2026 BMW iX stay up to date?

Remote Software Upgrade is also of central importance in the 2026 BMW iX with Operating System 8.5. With up to four software updates per year, your BMW iX always remains up-to-date, even for Driver Assistance and partially automated driving. You will be informed via a push message in the vehicle or in the My BMW App as soon as a BMW Remote Software Upgrade is available for your BMW iX.
