What are the benefits of the Service Card for the BMW Digital Key for my 2026 BMW iX?

As an alternative to the BMW Digital Key on your smartphone, you or a third party can lock and unlock your BMW with an activated Service Card and start the engine. You can use the Service Card, for example, to hand over your vehicle to your BMW service center, BMW Roadside Assistance or valet parking. Please note: The Service Card for your BMW Digital Key is already linked to your vehicle when it is delivered, but it is deactivated. Only activate the Service Card when required and then deactivate it again. Keeping a deactivated Service Card in the vehicle is safe. An activated Service Card unlocks and starts your vehicle, so for security reasons you should keep it in a safe place outside your vehicle.
