How do I pair a Game Controller with my BMW with BMW Operating System 9?

To pair a Game Controller via a Bluetooth® connection in your BMW with BMW Operating System 9, you must log them in to the vehicle once. 

Perform the following on the iDrive screen to pair the game controller:

1. Apps menu
2. "All"
3. "Game controllers".
4. Tap the "game controller" icon on the desired game controller or select the desired game controller from the list. The selected game controller will be connected.

If the game controller does not pair after completing these steps, proceed as follows:

1. Enable Bluetooth pairing, on the game controller
2. Apps menu
3. "All"
4. "Game controllers".
5. Tap the "game controller" icon on the desired game controller or select the desired game controller from the list. The selected game controller will be connected.

Available for BMW models with BMW Operating System 9 (from 07/2025) and an active BMW Digital Premium subscription and for BMW models with BMW Operating System X.
