How can I activate or deactivate the vehicle tracking of my vehicle with BMW Operating System 8.5?

To activate or deactivate the vehicle tracking (GPS tracking) of your BMW with BMW Operating System 8.5, select the following:

 

  • "Home"
  • "All Apps" (the 4 square at the top left of center screen)
  • "System Settings"
  • "Data Privacy"
  • Scroll to "Individual Selection" option
  • Under ‘"BMW Connected Drive", check or uncheck "My BMW App and My BMW Portal" and "My Trips".

 

Please note:  If the vehicle tracking is deactivated, the vehicle will not be displayed in the My BMW App.
