How can I set the route preference in my BMW?

To set the route preference for navigation guidance in your vehicle with BMW Operating System 8, BMW Operating System 8.5 or BMW Operating System 9, select the following in BMW iDrive:

 

  • Apps menu
  • "Navigation"
  • "Settings" (gear icon)
  • "Route preference"
  • Select the desired setting.

 

The settings are saved as default and automatically applied to new guidance in your BMW and the My BMW App.
