What points of interest does the navigation system of my BMW contain?

You can select points of interest (POI) for guidance in the navigation system. The points of interest are stored in the map database of your BMW and are regularly updated or supplemented by map updates with active ConnectedDrive Services. Not only can you search by POI categories, such as gas stations, restaurants, shopping and airports, but you can also search for a destination by name.  
 
To enter a destination in BMW Maps, press the “Nav” or “Map” button, select “Search” and enter the address, key words like names of POI, or categories like Shopping. If your vehicle has Intelligent Personal Assistant set up with wake word, you can simply use voice command and say, “Hey BMW. Take me to (name of destination).”
 
With active ConnectedDrive services, the vehicle can provide search results from the cloud, like smart phone apps.
