Augmented View provides support for upcoming maneuvers and parking at the destination. The feature consists of a camera image of the actual vehicle's surroundings, displaying relevant information for the maneuver such as turn information. Shortly before the destination is reached, information will be displayed on the instrument cluster enables the visualization of driver assistance systems on the actual vehicle's surroundings.
Perform the following in the iDrive menu to activate or deactivate Augmented View:
- Go to the Navigation menu.
- Select the settings icon.
- "Augmented View"
Please Note: The system cannot serve as a substitute for the driver’s personal judgment in assessing the traffic situation. Based on the limits of the system, it cannot independently react to all traffic situations. There is a risk of accident, injury, and property damage. Adjust driving style to traffic conditions. Watch the surrounding traffic situation closely, be ready to take over steering and braking at any time, and actively intervene where appropriate.
