How do the automatic doors in the 2024 BMW i7 M70 xDrive work?

The automatic doors in the 2024 BMW i7 M70 xDrive can be opened or closed from the outside via a button on the door handle or the vehicle key, Digital Key, and from the inside via BMW iDrive or control buttons in the "BMW Interaction Bar" and in the door trim panel. In addition, the driver's door closes automatically when the brake pedal is depressed. The door opening area is monitored by sensors and displayed on the control display when your BMW i7 is standby. If persons or objects are in the door opening area, the door opening angle is limited to avoid a collision during automatic opening or closing of the doors.
