What is the BMW Interaction Bar in the 2024 BMW i7 M70 xDrive?

The "BMW Interaction Bar" in the 2024 BMW i7 M70 xDrive is a crystalline surface structure and functional unit with dramatic backlighting. It extends across the full width of the instrument panel and into the door panel trim. The Interaction Bar houses touch-sensitive control panels for adjusting ventilation, climate control, hazard lights, and the glove compartment. The light design can be customized to match the selected My Mode setting or user preference.

 

The BMW Interaction Bar integrates function control, ambient lighting, and decorative appearance adjustments. It provides a welcome/goodbye lighting sequence during vehicle entry and exit. The driver can configure the Interaction Bar to respond to events like incoming phone calls with dynamic light animations. The BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant can also be displayed on the Interaction Bar.
