How was the front of the BMW i3 Sedan, available in the US starting 2027, designed?

The front end of the BMW i3 presents an independent, dynamic form of the Neue Klasse. The unmistakable design of the BMW kidney grille and twin circular headlights merge with the front sensor system to form a graphic unit.

The horizontally aligned, signature lights almost extend across the entire front. Two daytime riding lights elements with integrated turn signal function to the right and left of this provide an unmistakable, modern appearance of the typical BMW that looks like a face with four eyes.

Dynamic lighting effects set exclusive accents in the front area. The redesigned BMW brand emblem is positioned in the "valley" of the sculptured bonnet above the BMW kidney grille. The front is designed like the nose of a shark and is dynamically inclined towards the road emphasizing the overall sporty impression of the vehicle.
