What is special about the new software and electronics architecture of the BMW i3 Sedan, available in the US starting 2027?

Four high-performance computers are at the center of the new architecture. Each accepts a core task in the BMW i3, such as driving dynamics, automated driving and parking, infotainment, as well as basic and comfort functions, such as vehicle access and air conditioning. The high-performance computers deliver more than 20 times the computing power of previous models.
