How does the Heart of Joy of the 2027 BMW i3 change the driving dynamics?

The BMW Heart of Joy is one of four control computers in the 2027 BMW i3 and, together with BMW Dynamic Performance Control, controls the drive, brakes, subfunctions of the steering, charging, and energy recovery. It works at a new level, regulating ten times faster than previous systems and reducing the number of control interventions required.

Thanks to Soft-Stop and recuperation, the BMW i3 brakes smoothly to a standstill without jerks or braking noises. The recuperation brake takes on almost all braking processes when driving the BMW i3 day-to-day. The classic brake is only used for sporty driving styles or hazard braking.

The result is a particularly effortless and confident vehicle handling. The BMW i3 can be steered accurately and light-footedly through bends.
