What are the Shy Tech operating elements of the multifunction controls for steering wheel in the fully electric BMW i3 Sedan, available in the US starting 2027?

Shy Tech enables a new form of display and operation via multifunction buttons. The availability of driver assistance functions in the BMW i3 changes depending on the situation and operating state. The button icons of the Shy Tech operating elements light up white when the respective function is available. If an icon lights up green, the function is active.

The operating elements on the left of the steering wheel control driver assistance functions, while those on the right control media and communication functions. More functions than before can be controlled comfortably and safely without taking your hands off the steering wheel and your eyes off the road.
