How do I operate the BMW iDrive operating system in my 2025 BMW X3?

With a new graphics interface and an optimized menu structure, BMW iDrive with BMW Operating System 9 in the 2025 BMW X3 is even more consistently geared toward operation via touch display and natural language. BMW iDrive responds most easily to the voice control of the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. Alternatively, you can control vehicle apps by touch on the control display or via the multifunction steering wheel. You can also select and operate popular apps from your smartphone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on the control display.
