What is the Sport Boost function and how do I use it in my 2025 BMW X3?

In the 2025 BMW X3, you can use the "Sport Boost function" to instantly set all the vehicle's relevant systems to maximum acceleration. 

 

Perform the following on the steering wheel to activate the Sport Boost function:

  1. Pull and hold the left shift paddle on the steering wheel until you see the "SPORT BOOST" function appear on the instrument cluster.
    • A countdown is displayed on the instrument cluster.
  2. Before the countdown changes to 0, press the accelerator pedal.
    • The vehicle accelerates
    • The word "BOOST" is displayed on the instrument cluster.

The countdown can be restarted, for example if the function cannot be used immediately.

To restart the countdown, pull and hold the left shift paddle again until the countdown is reset.

 

Stopping the function: The SPORT BOOST function is automatically interrupted if the countdown has reached 0 or if the function was used in the acceleration process.

Deactivating the function: Pull and hold the right shift paddle until the "SPORT BOOST" display goes out.
