Why won't my smartphone charge in the wireless charging tray of my 2024 BMW X1?

To charge your smartphone in the wireless charging tray of your 2024 BMW X1, it should be located centrally in the tray and the screen must face upward. Your smartphone must be certified according to the Qi standard (inductive energy transmission) and be operational. The charging function must be activated in your BMW and on your smartphone. Please note: Thick smartphone covers or metallic cases affect charging.
