What benefits does M MODE offer in my 2025 BMW M3 Sedan?

M MODE allows you to customize the driver assistance and Intelligent Safety systems in your 2025 BMW M3 Sedan depending on the situation. The displays in the instrument cluster and the view of the BMW Head-up display change depending on the selected drive mode. You can choose between three M modes: "ROAD", "SPORT" or "TRACK" (depending on the equipment). The M mode "ROAD" is activated after turning on the drive-ready state. In this drive mode, all available driver assistance and Intelligent Safety systems are activated. In M mode "SPORT", informative driver assistance systems remain activated, while actively intervening driver assistance systems (depending on equipment, e.g., Lane Departure Warning, Side Collision Protection, Manual Speed Limiter, Cruise Control, Active Cruise Control with Distance Control, Steering Assistant, Assisted Driving Mode Plus, Lane Change Assistant) are deactivated. Please note: When some systems are activated, the system automatically switches to "ROAD" drive mode. In M mode "TRACK", other systems are deactivated in addition to the deactivated systems in M mode "SPORT" (depending on the equipment, e.g., Speed Limit Info with no-passing indicator, Forward Collision Mitigation, Active Blind Spot Detection, Rear-End Collision Preparation). Hazard flashing is deactivated when braking hard shortly before coming to a standstill. In addition, the control display and functions of the entertainment system are turned off. The M mode "Track" is available with the option "M Drive Professional".
