Do I have to activate the "Remote Engine Start" function in my BMW after a BMW ConnectedDrive Upgrade?

Yes. If you have booked the "Remote Engine Start" vehicle function as a BMW ConnectedDrive Upgrade, you must activate the function once in the My BMW App or by locking three times with your display or vehicle key.

 

Please note: The engine start is used to air-condition the interior for a maximum of 15 minutes before starting the trip. It is not possible to drive without the vehicle key or BMW Digital Key in the vehicle interior.
