Dolby® Atmos in the 2027 BMW 7 Series and 2027 BMW i7 is an innovative surround sound technology that enables a particularly intense and spatial sound experience. Unlike conventional sound systems, which distribute the sound via fixed channels, Dolby® Atmos works with what are called object-based audio tracks. This means that individual sound sources – such as raindrops or a helicopter flying past – can be precisely positioned in the space.
