Can I park my 2024 BMW 5 Series Sedan or drive out of parking spaces remotely using the My BMW App?

With the "Remote Control Parking" function of the My BMW App, you can park your 2024 BMW 5 Series Sedan and drive out of parking spaces remotely. The Parking Assistant of your BMW automatically performs the parking maneuver in parallel or perpendicular parking spaces. The Maneuver Assistant provides you with even more comprehensive support: It automatically takes over the complete driving task for up to 10 stored maneuvering routes, including accelerating, braking, steering and switching between forward and reverse gear. Your BMW requires the equipment "Parking Assistant Professional" or as a BMW Digital Premium Upgrade from the BMW ConnectedDrive Store. Remote Services must be booked and activated and you must have set up a BMW Digital Key Plus. You need an Apple iPhone 11 or higher with iOS 15 or newer, a Google Pixel 6 Pro or higher with Android 13 or newer or a Samsung S21 Ultra or higher with Android 13 or newer and the latest version of the My BMW App.

 

Please note: To perform a parking operation from outside your BMW using the My BMW App, you must be within 6 meters of your vehicle and Bluetooth® must be activated on your smartphone. You remain responsible for constantly monitoring traffic during automated parking and maneuvering and must be able to intervene at any time.
