How do I deactivate Amazon Alexa in my BMW?

To deactivate Amazon Alexa in your BMW, perform the following steps.

 

iDrive 7:

Select the following in the iDrive operating system:

  • "CAR"
  • "Settings"
  • "General settings" 
  • "Personal Assistant"
  • "Voice control"
  • Remove the tick mark for "Third-party providers" and "Online voice processing".

 

BMW Operating System 8 / 8.5:

    1. Apps menu
    2. "All apps"
    3. "System Settings"
    4. "Voice Control"
    5. Under Voice Control Menu, toggle off “Alexa”

    Please note that you can also sign out of the Alexa App in “All Apps” to completely log out of the car.

     

     

    BMW Operating System 9:

    • Apps menu
    • "ALL"
    • "System Settings”
    • "Voice Control"
    • Under Activation with Voice Control Menu, toggle off “Alexa”
